What you'll be doing as a Business Development Representative:
- Collaborate with sales team and leaders to identify qualified target customers
- Research and use your creativity to connect with potential customers to set sales appointments
- Out-bound sales calls across a sales territory to pre-qualify opportunities with top prospects and schedule appointments for Digital Sales Directors
- Create clever/strategic emails to quickly grab the attention of prospective clients
- Report information learned on the "front lines" from cold outreach to Sales Directors to improve prospecting efforts
- Enter and track all sales activity and new opportunities in Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool
- Know and present Strategus Value Proposition and keep on top of digital ad industry trends
- Respond to all inbound marketing-generated leads with intent to qualify or disqualify
- Achieve and report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly results
- Sit in on Digital Sales Director initial sales meetings, proposals, and sales calls, from appointments you set, to hone your sales knowledge and skills
- Partner with an internal sales mentor with the goal of preparing and advancing you through the Strategus sales career path
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years' experience in an outbound selling or customer service role
- Eager to pick up the phone and connect with prospective customers
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and listening skills
- Team player, coachable, eager to make an impact, and achieve goals
- Go-getter attitude! "No" doesn't stop you - it only drives you further to keep going for the next "Yes"
The target annual base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000 based on experience, plus commission.
